Youth Parliament Elections
We are proud to announce that Asma Butt, one of our Year 11 students, has been elected to stand as a member of the Youth Parliament council both Nationally and for Pendle and will serve for a period of two years. Asma's manifesto is based on creating a positive image  of young people in todays society and making transport cheaper and more accessible for young people from 11 to 18 years of age. More...

Pendle Vale have secured the use of a terraced house in Belgrave Street for use as an external learning environment. Groups of students from Years 8, 10 and 11 have been involved in project work relating to their place in the community, a sense of home and some work on what it means to be part of a family. More...

Haiti Fund Raising
On Friday 22nd January students and staff donated money to attend college in their own clothes to raise money for the relief effort following the Haiti earthquake. This non-uniform day followed a week in which students had been learning about the effects of the earthquake and developing an understanding of what the money donated would buy. Overall the day was a great success and we succeeded in raising a total of £2000. More...

Pendle Business Awards 2010
On the 11th January 2010 two teams of 4 Year 8 students were chosen to visit Rock FM in Preston to make a 40 second radio commercial promoting the Pendle Business Awards 2010.

Each team wrote their own commercial before choosing sound effects and recording the voiceovers. By the end of the day each team had produced an excellent commercial that they could be very proud of. More...
