Pendle Vale Students work with Camp International.

Camp International are global leaders in ethical and sustainable school expeditions and offer fully supported life-enhancing school expeditions across Africa, Asia and South America. Their expeditions help to change young people’s views of the world, understand the day to day challenges rural communities face, work on projects which transform communities and help them overcome significant issues they face including access to clean water, education and housing. These opportunities also increase students’ self-worth and appreciate the impact just one person can have on the world.

Pendle Vale Head of Year,  Mrs Rose  explained that she wanted to offer this exciting opportunity to the students and now, 18 months down the line, five Year 11 students have managed to raise over £25K and have packed their rucksacks and today embarked on a 4 week adventure of a lifetime joined by Mrs Rose.

Mrs Rose said, “The students have worked relentlessly over the months raising money by organising school charity events including ‘PVC’s got talent’, bake sales, tuck shops, sponsored sky dives, part time jobs, sponsored walks, cleaning cars and much, much more. Pendle Vale students have also helped by having a non-uniform day and donating year 11 merit tokens to our Tanzania fund. I am so proud of what they have achieved, and I am really looking forward to spending 4 weeks in an amazing country, working on amazing projects with 5 amazing girls.”

Good luck girls.
