Then the School Direct route at Pendle Vale College could be your route into teacher training. Pendle Vale College has supported the development of ITT students since opening in 2009. We have well established links with Edge Hill University and Cumbria University and have also worked with a number of HEI partners. From September 2015 we will offer School Direct as part of the Pennine Lancashire School Direct Partnership.
Why Train with us?
Training to teach in schools is a fantastic way to become immersed in every aspect of school life. We are a small cluster of seven like-minded, committed Secondary Schools, who have worked together to develop comprehensive and robust training programmes. ITT students on placement at Pendle Vale are fully supported through a well structured professional studies programme, access to the ICT infrastructure, a networked laptop, a dedicated work room and professional library. ITT students become fully immersed in school life by their attachment to a form group and involvement in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
Our College facilities enable ITT students to be fully prepared for teaching in the 21st century by enabling them to use interactive whiteboards, creative learning spaces, lecture theatres and a large wider outdoor environment. Our new College is fully equipped with wi-fi throughout and state of the art facilities across the whole curriculum.
