Pendle Vale College has an admission number of 210 students each year and currently oversubsribed in all year groups . The determined policy for admission to Pendle Vale is listed below.
Parents will be asked to express three preferences of secondary school in priority order.
Admission Criteria
Parents will be asked to express three preferences of secondary school in priority order. If there are more than 210 preferences for Pendle Vale, the following rules are applied to decide priority:
- Children in Public Care (Looked After Children)
- Children for whom the County Council accepts there are exceptionally strong medical, social or welfare reasons for admission to the school
- Children living within the school’s geographical priority area who will have a sibling in attendance at the school at the time of transfer
- Children living within the school’s geographical priority area
- Children living outside the school’s geographical priority area who will have a sibling in attendance at the school at the time of transfer
- Children living outside the school’s geographical priority area
In Year Transfers
Students can be admitted to Pendle Vale during a school year. If you wish us to consider offering your child a place during the school year you will need make contact with the Local Education Office who will advise you on the best school for your child. Students applying to Pendle Vale will need to complete the In Year Admission Form. Please be aware we will not consider your application without this form and will only accept new admissions at the start of a new Half Term.
