Parents will be asked to express three preferences of secondary school in priority order.

Admission Criteria

Parents will be asked to express three preferences of secondary school in priority order. If there are more than 210 preferences for Pendle Vale, the following rules are applied to decide priority:

  • Children in Public Care (Looked After Children)
  • Children for whom the County Council accepts there are exceptionally strong medical, social or welfare reasons for admission to the school
  • Children living within the school’s geographical priority area who will have a sibling in attendance at the school at the time of transfer
  • Children living within the school’s geographical priority area
  • Children living outside the school’s geographical priority area who will have a sibling in attendance at the school at the time of transfer
  • Children living outside the school’s geographical priority area
