Nasima Riazat, Head of Careers & Employability is our named Careers Leader at Pendle Vale College. She is a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser and Careers Leader with over 14 year’s experience in the careers and education sector and is passionate about enabling our students to get the best preparation for the world of work. Pendle Vale College focuses on ensuring students are equipped with lifelong career management skills to enable them to tackle challenges positively within the fast changing environment of employment.

Every student at Pendle Vale is entitled to impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG). We recognise that providing our students with the right opportunities will increase their aspirations and ensure they are ready for the world of work.

Students will leave Pendle Vale College having had contact with high-quality and impartial careers information and guidance. This will enable them to get the most out of their learning and to enable successful progression to further education or training and to have a clearer focus on their career goals.


During your time at Pendle Vale College, you will get a range of support in various forms. This can include 1:1 career guidance, PSHE sessions, trips, work experience, speakers, a careers fair, assemblies, input from local Colleges, training providers and universities and much, much more.

The Careerometer widget can be used by students, with the support of parents, to explore and compare key information about different jobs to support in identifying potential careers.

The Careerometer widget provides a selection of headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects.

The information is organised by occupation: simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you.
